Dodgers

Dodgers

Dodgers are also known as day canopies or half canopies and offer protection from the sun or the rain while out on the water.  They should be taken down when the boat is being towed on the open road to avoid damaging the cover.

Bonito. Our standard dodger consists of a canvas top with a zip front opening, clear plastic side curtains, and stainless-steel support bars and fittings.
The same Bonito out on the water with the front section unzipped and rolled up, and the clear side curtains removed.
Chianti 615. Ideally the dodger should extend far enough to cover the front seat.
Fi-Glass Cavalier. The owner of this boat requested extra large side curtains.
Fi-Glass Cavalier. Because our covers are custom made we are normally able to accommodate our customers if they have specific requirements.
Fi-Glass Lightning
Frewza F14. This is an example of a dodger fitted to a boat with an arch. It also shows that dodgers can be fitted to any sized boat - this one is 4.4 metres.
Frewza F20. This is a larger version of the previous boat but without the arch.
Frewza F20. We always try to make the covers "aesthetically pleasing" and in keeping with the look of the boat. This one follows the lines of the boat nicely.
Fyran 500. The contrast colour binding on this dodger ties in nicely with the boat graphics.
Haines Hunter 535. There is a variety of canvas colours to choose from and you can usually match boat colours quite easily.
Marco
McLay
Ramco. This dodger has a clear plastic front window instead of the canvas roll-up. The clear window is still able to be rolled up as required.
Stabicraft 2050. This shows the front section unzipped and rolled up.
Marlborough Rapier. View from the side and ...
view from behind showing zip front which can be pretty much as wide or narrow as you want.
Reflex Reefrunner. The dodgers are made to easily add on to if you decide to extend the cover to the back of the boat (see how the cover extends past the rear support bow to enable a zip to be fitted)
